1 | Mo Salah | Liverpool | £13.4m | 156 points | Tottenham Hotspur |
2 | Cole Palmer | Chelsea | £11.2m | 128 points | Everton |
3 | Enzo Fernandez | Chelsea | £5.1m | 59 points | Everton |
4 | Bukayo Saka | Arsenal | £10.6m | 106 points | Crystal Palace |
5 | Bryan Mbeumo | Brentford | £7.6m | 105 points | Nottingham Forest |
5. Bryan Mbeumo – Brentford | 105 points | £7.6m
Bryan Mbeumo is in the midst of an amazing season. He already has 10 goals and 3 assists and in terms of Fantasy Premier League, only Salah, Palmer and Saka have more points than him. However, there’s a certain bit of oddity about this form. Brentford have been ridiculously good at home and very poor away from home. This is backed by Mbeumo’s own showings, amazing at home and less so away. This weekend, it’s a home fixture for Brentford as they take on Nottingham Forest. Although Forest have been great this season, Mbeumo at the GTech Stadium is a worthy opponent.
4. Bukayo Saka – Arsenal | 106 points | £10.6m
One will have to find hard-to-find players in the Premier League who are more important to their sides than Bukayo Saka is to Arsenal. At most there’s a handful. Saka is a talismanic figure for the Gunners and leads their charge with his undoubted quality. The winger has 5 goals this season but he also has 10 assists. His corners have been a big weapon for Arsenal this season. Arsenal’s next few games are very appealing and the next one in particular is against Crystal Palace and Saka will be expected to deliver against the fellow London side.
3. Enzo Fernandez – Chelsea | 59 points | £5.1m
At the moment, it does seem like Chelsea are in the title race and their charge is being spearheaded by their captain Enzo Fernandez. Recently, there were questions regarding whether the expensive acquisition had a role in the Chelsea team. However, over the past month, Enzo Maresca has granted his namesake the freedom to play creatively and penetrate the box. This has transformed everything for the Argentine, as he has recorded 10 goal contributions in his previous 7 matches in Chelsea’s colors. It is yet to be determined if he can maintain this remarkable performance, but for now, he’s an excellent Fantasy Premier League asset. Chelsea face lowly Everton this weekend.

2. Cole Palmer – Chelsea | 128 points | £11.2m
Cole Palmer has been absurdly prolific over the past couple of seasons. While many might have thought last season to be an anomaly since he recorded 33 goal contributions in the league. He has shown all of them to be mistaken with 14 already this season. Chelsea are the form team of the Premier League at the moment and it is difficult to argue that their title charge is being led by Palmer, no matter how unlikely the achievement would be. There’s no indication that another significant Fantasy Premier League haul isn’t on the horizon as a sharp Chelsea side readies to take on a struggling Everton side.
1. Mo Salah – Liverpool | 156 points | £13.4m
Mo Salah has accumulated more points in Fantasy Premier League than any other player this season so far, and this is unlikely to change in the near future. He was also the first individual to surpass the 100 points threshold this season. Salah’s consistency is astounding, having achieved significant returns in each of his last 9 matches. There have been only two games so far this season where he has not had a good return. He has already scored 13 goals and provided 9 assists in the Premier League this season, surpassing any other player’s contributions in the league. Liverpool’s match this weekend is against an inconsistent Spurs side, who find defending routinely difficult.
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 17, the Premier League has a thrilling set of fixtures lined up. The highlight of the weekend is the intense fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. Tottenham Hotspur are in form, having put 5 past Southampton the previous weekend while Liverpool are top of the table despite having dropped points in the previous weekend.
The deadline for GW17 is on December 21st.
