5. Ola Aina – Nottingham Forest | 48 points | £4.8m
Ola Aina has been one of the most in-form wide defenders in the Premier League this season. In terms of Fantasy Premier League, he ranks highly among defenders for total points scored so far. Aina covers the ground very well, bobbing up and down the wing and gets a lot of Bonus Points in the game too. The Nigerian is not only a great defender , but his attacking returns include a goal already this season. Nottingham Forest have made a fantastic start to season so far and sit 7th in the Premier League this season. They have conceded only 13 times in the Premier League fixtures this season and this weekend, they face a weak Ipswich side.

4. Lewis Hall – Newcastle | 33 points | £4.4m
Lewis Hall has made a name for himself as a reliable defensive choice in Fantasy Premier League. This is in particular notable due to his promising potential and the attractive price tag of just £4. 4m. The Chelsea academy graduate has smoothly transitioned into a starting role in the Newcastle team, becoming an invaluable asset for them. The Magpies had a rough beginning to the season, however, they have bounced back recently with impressive victories over Arsenal and Chelsea. However, last weekend, they had a surprise loss against West Ham. Newcastle and Hall will be looking forward to maintaining their positive performance this weekend, facing a struggling Crystal Palace team.
3. Gabriel – Arsenal | 51 points | £6.2m
Gabriel is very interesting defensive asset in Fantasy Premier League. Arsenal seem to have recovered from their poor spell of form and the Brazilian has been the most important player in their defence. He is also coming off a fantastic game against Sporting Club, where he scored as well. Interestingly, in 11 games, Gabriel also has two goals, meaning he is a threat in the opponent box from set pieces too. Arsenal must remain in top form in order to keep in touch with Liverpool on the top of Premier League standings. This weekend, they face a struggling West Ham side, who recently won a great game against Newcastle.
2. Diogo Dalot – Manchester United | 41 points | £5.2m
Manchester United are in an interesting period of time. Their first game under the management of Ruben Amorim ended in a draw but there were good signs. The new manager is known for getting a lot of output from his wingbacks. Amad Diallo playing wingback had an assist. Diogo Dalot has been prioritised over Noussair Mazraoui in the other position, and he will be expected to be no different playing in a 3 man defensive system with wingbacks assuming an important role. Dalot will do his best to lock that position down. They play a weak Everton this weekend and at least a clean sheet is expected.
1. Pedro Porro – Tottenham Hotspur | 49 points | £5.5m
Spurs had a fantastic time last weekend as they went on to smash Manchester City 4-0. This was obviously a win, that will give them a whole lot of confidence. Pedro Porro was on the scoresheet for that game. He has scored 2 and assisted 1 in the Premier League so far. Although the next run of games for Spurs aren’t the best, this weekend they face Fulham who are coming off a bad loss against Wolves. Porro is an attacking presence who gets forward and is heavily involved in all of Spurs’ attacks. It remains to be seen whether he can get some good points this weekend.
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 13, the Premier League serves up another tantalizing set of fixtures. The highlight of the weekend is undoubtedly the game between Manchester City and Liverpool. Manchester City in particular need something positive after 5 consecutive losses and a draw in their last 6 games. Pep Guardiola’s side need something to change desperately. Liverpool on the other hand have had a fantastic start to the season and sit on the top of the Premier League standings.
The deadline for GW 13 is on November 30th.
