FPL player price changes – rises, falls and most transfers in/out for GW 12

Gameweek 12 of the Fantasy Premier League season is soon going to be upon us. In the context of that it is important to look at how the last GW went. Gameweek 11 took place a couple of weeks ago with the international break following subsequently. The stars of the show in the previous GW were Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, who managed 17 points, Mo Salah of Liverpool who managed a tally of 14 points and Yoane Wissa of Brentford who managed a tally of 13 points. The fixtures to keep an eye out for this week are Manchester City versus Tottenham Hotspur as well as Ruben Amorim’s debut as Manchester United manager against Ipswich Town.

Danny Welbeck has gone up to a price of £6.0m in Fantasy Premier League now. In terms of value for money he continues to be among the best options in the game, with his total of 64 points meaning that he is currently averaging over 10 points per million cost. The former Manchester United and Arsenal striker has been in a rich vein of form this season with 6 goals and 2 assists so far in 11 games. In the process, he has also kept exciting young talent Evan Ferguson out of the team under new manager Fabian Hurzeler.

Alexander Isak (Newcastle) £8.5m

Alexander Isak and Newcastle did not enjoy a particularly great start to the season but have shown signs of a return to life of late. The Magpies have won 3 games in a row across all competitions including wins over Arsenal and Chelsea. Isak has been instrumental, with him now having scored in each of his last 5 games, including away on international duty with Sweden. Early on in the season, he was the most owned player and now it does seem that managers are buying him back.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) £8.4m

Despite being largely responsible for everything good about Manchester United over the last few seasons, this time around Bruno Fernandes found it hard to get going. However since the sacking of Erik Ten Hag, that no longer seems to be the case. Since the sacking, the Portuguese playmaker has played 5 games and in them has scored or assisted 7 times, leaving each game with a goal contribution. With Ruben Amorim set to be on the sidelines this weekend, the signs looks good.

Cole Palmer is a weird one in the sense that he is obviously very talented and continues to be one of the best performers in the Premier League. In recent weeks however, questions have emerged after poor showings in big games against Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. He also missed the international break with a knock, leading to a lot of people selling him. However his upcoming fixtures look very appealing so this might be the time to get him for cheaper.

Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal) £6.1m

Arsenal’s poor form of late has meant that they have been unable to take advantage of Manchester City’s slip-ups. This has also seen the Gunners’ defensive assets suffer in Fantasy Premier League terms. Gabriel, who at the start of the season was one of the most popular defensive assets is now being sold as Arsenal continue to ship in goals. Mikel Arteta’s side are without a clean sheet in 7 Premier League games, a worrying statistic for a side that pride themselves on their defence.

Phil Foden (Manchester City) £9.2m

Phil Foden was the PFA Player of the Year last season. Nearly a third into the season, this time his performances have been anything but the same. He just has the solitary assist in the Premier League. Presently he also has an injury which is why he is falling in price. Manchester City as a whole need something to change. They have lost 4 games in a row and in dire need of some sort of inspiration. It will be interested to see what happens with Pep Guardiola’s side.
