In the summer of 2020, Leroy Sane returned to his home soil to join Bayern Munich following a successful time with the reigning English champions Manchester City. His contract with the Bavarians is set to expire in July 2025, and the winger is also not in a hurry to sign new terms with the Bundesliga side. Sane has played 186 games and made 101 goal contributions however fitness has always been a matter of concern for him.

The 28-year-old shares a strong relationship with Bayern boss and his former teammate Vincent Kompany who would be willing to keep him in Munich. Though the Bavarians recently spent €60 million on Michael Ollise

The Egypt International is also one of the top three stars who has last six months remaining on his current term with the Premier League club, having joined them back in 2017 from AS Roma. The 32-year-old is loved by the fans and etched his name as one of the best players to wear the Liverpool kit and in the English Premier League.

At present, there are no ongoing talks between the two parties but Arne Slot would want his best player to continue at Anfield and Salah has also expressed his desire to stay with the club. Previously, they had turned down a lucrative €174 Million offer from Saudi Pro League.

Up next on the list is Bayern Munich’s Canadian star Left back Alphonso Davies, the 24 year old contract with the German giants is due to expire in the summer. Davies has been on the radar of Real Madrid as the Spanish champions vigorously attempted to secure one of the best Left back and was on the verge of leaving Bayern last summer.

Moreover, his relationship with the Bavarians has undergone disintegration though this season, Davies has played regularly under Kompany making 14 starts in 15 appearances. The Canada International already won every single major title with the Bundesliga giants and could set his sights on new challenges at 24.

Over the seasons, Kimmich has brought significant success to the club and made 406 appearances scoring 42 goals and 108 assists for the Bavarians.

Top clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, PSG and Barcelona have all shown interest in signing the German International and should be monitoring the situation with no developments on a fresh deal.

Talented striker, Jonathan David has garnered noteworthy attention from various big clubs in the past such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, however, the Canadian chose to stay in France to complete the remaining years of his Lille contract. David is a young and prolific goal scorer, the perfect profile for any club in search of a scoring forward his name is up there amongst the top.

The 24-year-old has netted 97 goals for Lille since arriving at the club in 2020 and became the club’s all-time top scorer in a short span. Lille would hope Canadian International to sign a fresh contract instead of leaving as a free agent in the summer, with many clubs impressed with the player’s capability.

Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – €45 Million

Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne is among the top priority names on the target list of Saudi Pro League clubs, he is arguably one of the best attacking midfielders in the world and has proven his credentials by wearing the sky blue shirt of Man City over the years lifting 16 major trophies. The Belgian played an influential role in the club’s first treble-winning season including the first ever UEFA Champions League triumph in history, and then the injury happened.

De Bruyne has not been the same since returning from a long-term hamstring injury, and subsequently, his role diminished under Pep Guardiola due to fitness and constant injury challenges. With just the last six months of duration left on his term, the 33-year-old might be heading closer towards bidding farewell to Premier League winners.

Heung-min Son (Tottenham Hotspur) – €45 Million

One of the best wingers in the Premier League, Heung-min Son has taken the centre stage at Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in 2023. For Spurs, the South Korean skipper is their talisman and a very important figure in Agne Postegcoglu’s plan thus his departure seems less likely from North London. Tottenham have the option to expand his contract for a further 12 months, which shows a strong possibility of happening regardless of the interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

South Korean International is a fan favourite and should be happy to extend his association with the North London club and vice versa, earlier in March Sonny entered into the all-time top scorer list and ranked 5th, with 165 goals in 419 games.

Brazilian superstar Neymar jr move to Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal has not worked out, he has been on the sidelines for more than a year with just 7 club appearances and scored one goal for Riyadh club, since his debut in September 2023. Reportedly, there’s frustration growing over the fact that the former Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona winger Neymar has an injury-prone nature.

The 32-year-old earners a staggering €100 Million annually making him a top-paid Al Hilal player, and third highest in the Saudi Pro League after Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. Hence, it would not be a huge surprise if the Saudi Arabian champions part ways with Neymar next summer.

Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) – €30 Million

The Liverpool and Netherlands captain Virgil van Dijk is one of the best central defenders in the world, even at the age of 33, Van Dijk still plays a commanding role in the Reds backline. Alongwith Trent Alexander Arnold and Mohamed Salah, the defender is the third-highest earner at Anfield after his last contract extension in 2021. He was a pivotal figure in Liverpool’s substantial success under Jurgen Klopp and led them to clinch the Premier League titles ending three decades of drought.

The Dutch International is linked with Bayern Munich, however, it’s highly unlikely that Arne Slot and Liverpool would let go of their rock-solid defenders, leader and captain. It should be a matter of time before both parties will sit to finalise fresh terms to extend their associations further.
