Jadon Sancho

A hope for Jadon Sancho to get back in the International squad as Lee Carsley has opened the door for him

The Englishman has been out of the England national team for over three years now. However, the wait seems to come to an end as Lee Carsley is eager to welcome him where he is ‘loved’.

The ex-Manchester man was sent to Dortmund after Red Devil manager preferred others over the Englishman. It didn’t take long to dust off the bad form he was in Old Trafford. Under his old club, Jadon Sancho seems to get his rhythm back.

While being frozen out by the Red Devils might seem like he won’t be making it to the national team sooner, it was his performance with Chelsea after moving to the club on a loan this summer that caught his attention and punched his ticket for the international team (fingers crossed).

Lee Carsley has previously worked with Jadon Sancho in the academy of Manchester City and the Youth Cup Final in 2017. Therefore, he is accustomed to the talent the 24-year-old has. He is on the radar of the interim manager right now.

Carsley’s comments on Jadon Sancho

While speaking of the ex-Manchester United player, the interim manager said:

“Jadon is a player that has huge potential who has hopefully found a home where he feels rated, he feels loved. He put in a really good performance the other day and I think he just needs time now to play”

Carsley also mentioned:

“I don’t ever feel in a rush where a player is doing well for three or four games should be in an England squad. Dom (Solanke) has his call-up and earned the right to be called up for England with what he’s done this season and the body of work behind.”

While he was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund last season, Jadon Sancho performed extremely well and even reached the final. Carsley worked with Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden, and Brahim along with the likes of others in City’s academy.

The interim manager also had to say this on the days of Youth team coaching:

“We were really lucky at City, we had a team with Jadon, Phil (Foden), Brahim (Diaz), Lukas Nmecha. We had a really good team but we still lost the youth cup as they had a really good team as well.”

In 2017, the team lost the final against Chelsea which had the likes of Marc Guehi and Mason Mount.

With his recent comment on the young Englishman, it seems like the England boss is very eager to have Jadon Sancho back where he belongs.
