The speculations are over! Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest ever footballers has always been in the news with both on-field and off-field matters. In the past couple of days, it was being speculated that the Al Nassr player would join the camps of rivals Al Hilal. This rumour has been completely ruled out by none other than his sister Katia Aveiro.
The speculations started when media outlet Esportes made a post claiming that there is a possibility that Neymar Jr. would be replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Hilal, the prime rivals of Ronaldo’s current club Al Nassr FC. The world of football went crazy when this speculation was made, and multiple reports were published by leading outlets.
Seeing the post, Ronaldo’s sister Aveiro made a strong remark, criticizing the journalist who speculated this rumour, commenting in the outlet’s concerned Instagram post, “You only write nonsense, man? You clearly don’t know anything about soccer. You could have called me and I’d have taught you about club rivalries over there and what that might be. Delete it buddy, there’s still time.”
The comment felt strong in nature, bold enough to make it clear that Cristiano Ronaldo is not joining the camps of Al Nassr’s arch-rivals, and it also cleared the intense rivalry these two clubs enjoy.
Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr
Ronaldo is having a superb spell in the last years of his massive career at the Saudi Pro League, with giants Al Nassr FC. He joined the Saudi Arabia club in January 2023, after terminating his contract with English Premier League side Manchester United. This move was another trend set by CR7, as only after this we saw many football greats joining clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
Since joining, he has been spectacular. He is the pivot of the team, and even at the age of 39 now, CR7 has played a total of 79 games for Al Nassr as of now. He has 68 goals and 18 assists in those games.
Despite having such spectacular numbers, Cristiano Ronaldo and his club Al Nassr have been unlucky so far, as they did it all on their horizon, but have failed to clinch a single piece of silverware since the legend’s arrival.

Neymar Jr. out of Al Hilal?
While the speculations regarding Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Al Nassr has been ruled out completely, the news he was being linked to can be partially true! Various media outlets have reported that Neymar Jr. might part ways with Al Hilal.
Neymar signed for Al Hilal for a whooping salary, something the cash-rich football world never saw. He joined from Paris Saint Germain in August 2023. It’s already been a year, and he has only played seven games to date, netting just one goal. The Brazilian superstar has been out otherwise for major injuries, be it his initial muscle injury or the cruciate ligament injury he suffered in October last year. He returned from injury, played two games in the AFC Champions League, and got injured again. Al Hilal are reportedly not willing to move forward with him.
