Manchester United provide big update on Leny Yoro’s recovery

There will be some signs of relief for Manchester United as their new big-money buy Leny Yoro, who got injured during the pre-season is back training. The English Premier League side issued an official statement on their website to deliver this good news.

The 18-year-old French centre-back was signed by Manchester United for a giant transfer fee of 62 million Euros from Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille. This lucrative deal made a big statement of trust in the young defender, as he was secured after a tough competition with Real Madrid.

Latest on Leny Yoro injury update

Yoro however is yet to make an impact on the Red Devils, as he has not played a single competitive match, since he was injured in the pre-season fixture against Arsenal in the United States of America. The player had to wait since then for his competitive debut, as he was going through a long recovery session owing to his injured foot.

The situation now seems a lot better, with the youngster seen back at the training grounds. Man Utd have stated that their new No. 15 has entered the “next phase” of recovery, and yesterday was his “first day back out on the grass” of the club’s “Carrington base”. Previously, the player had shared a video of him running on a treadmill.

The Erik ten Hag coached side also revealed that Yoro is also through gym sessions, under the supervision of the club’s medical staff.

The English stalwarts shared their further plans regarding Leny’s recovery, stating, “There is plenty of work still to do for the centre-back and he will begin the transition to group training when he is ready.”

Impact of Leny Yoro’s recovery on Manchester United

The news of his fast recovery would be welcomed by the coach and fans, as Manchester United are currently struggling to meet standards in the top division, having lost three of their fixtures and sitting at 12th spot of the table. The club has performed poorly in the defence too, having paced nine goals already, hailing a goal difference of -2.

Putting it in the words of Manchester United, “A competitive debut for the Reds is not imminent, but it’s really positive to see our (the club’s) summer signing reach this stage of his recovery.” Yoro’s induction will be of high benefit, as the club is baffling in the defense.
