Angola vs Ghana Preview

  • Date: Friday, November 15
  • Kick-off Time: 7:00 pm GMT
  • Venue: Estadio 11 de Novembro, Luanda

Angola and Ghana will clash against each other in matchday five of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers Group F. The hosts have been in tremendous form and have secured qualification to the next stage with 12 points from four matches. Ghana, on the other hand, has endured a challenging qualification process with only a couple of points in the bag. The Angola vs Ghana game will be a contest between two of the most able and talented nations in the continent of Africa.

Angola has been the surprise package of the AFCON qualifiers so far. The national team is on a six-game winning streak and has been unbeaten since the end of March. Manager, Pedro Goncalves will be delighted with his squad’s resilience, considering most of Angola’s recent victories have been decided by a single-goal margin. The Angolan National Team will also be looking forward to the upcoming World Cup qualifiers where they are just a point off the qualification spots.

Ghana’s recent form has been horrible and disappointing. The country has managed two wins, two draws, and two defeats in the last six matches. Ghana has not found the back of the net in the past two games which has eventually pushed the national side down the qualification table. Otto Addo’s men are in a good state in the World Cup qualifiers with nine points from four matches. Nevertheless, failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations will be a massive disappointment considering the potency in the Ghana ranks.

The Angolan National Football Team will line in a classic 4-3-3 formation. The main objective will be to maintain an optimal balance between defence and attack. Angola will aim to stretch the opposition’s backline and occupy the spaces.
