Blackburn Rovers vs Wolves

  • Competition: FA Cup
  • Date: Sunday, February 9
  • Time: 12:30 PM GMT
  • Venue: Ewood Park

Blackburn Rovers vs Wolves will take place at Ewood Park in the FA Cup on February 9. This will be the fourth round of the FA Cup which will take place on Sunday afternoon.

This will be the first time that these two sides have met since the 2016/17 season. A lot has changed since then, as Blackburn are now playing in the EFL Championship and Wolves are now playing in the Premier League. The Blue and Whites are in the ace of promotion to the top division and are currently at the fifth spot in the points table. The Riversiders are not in good form as they have lost some fixtures in the last few games. Facing a top-division side will not be an easy task for them at all.

In the last five games, they won only one game which was against Preston North End and they lost the rest of the games. Rovers do like to keep the ball and play beautifully but surely they will have to adapt different tactics or plan to face the Wolves. Despite being the home team their chances of progressing are very low.

Wolves earned a crucial 2-0 win over Aston Villa as that victory ended a three-losing streak that had seen Pereira’s side suffer defeats to Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United after beating Bristol City 2-1 in the third round of the FA Cup. Surely there will be rotations in the starting lineups and their bench also has quality players who can make a difference on the pitch. Wolves‘ biggest concern will be their inconsistent performance this season and surely they will not take Rovers very lightly as they are capable of hurting them. This will be a mouthwatering clash for sure.
