Bournemouth will host Brighton at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League in what is expected to be an interesting match. Both sides have shown their prowess this season but have also shown their vulnerability.

The Seagulls have secured five wins, four draws, and two defeats and are just four points behind second-placed Manchester City. They have been brilliant under new manager Fabian Hurzeler after spending the highest amount in the summer transfer window in the league at £200 million.

They will be keen to continue their excellent form and qualify for the UEFA Champions League spots next season.

Tottenham Hotspur spent a club-record fee of £65 million to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in the summer. The Cherries then also broke their club record to sign Evanilson from FC Porto for £40.5 million as a replacement for Solanke.

While it took him some time to adjust to the new surroundings, the Brazilian striker finally appears to have found his feet. He’s scored four goals in 11 games for Bournemouth this season but all four have come in his last six appearances.

Evanilson has scored in his last three appearances for Bournemouth and will be keen to keep the run going against Brighton on Saturday.

Danny Welbeck

Amidst all the young attacking talent that Brighton have accumulated in their squad, it’s the veteran Danny Welbeck who has been the star for the club. He’s been in terrific form this season, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 11 Premier League games.

Welbeck is Brighton’s top scorer this season and has scored three goals and provided one assist in his last six appearances. However, he’s just got one assist in his last three appearances and will be keen to change that against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Bournemouth vs Brighton Prediction

Both sides have shown signs of brilliance this season and will be eager to continue their good form. They are both dealing with numerous injury issues and squad depth could be the difference-maker on Saturday.

Bournemouth had an excellent run where they beat Arsenal, drew against Aston Villa away, and then beat Manchester City. However, they then lost 3-2 against Brentford away in their last game before the international break. Having already been eliminated from the EFL Cup, Andoni Iraola will be keen to not drop further in the Premier League.

Brighton, meanwhile, ended a run of three games without a win by beating Manchester City before the international break. They drew against Wolves before losing against Liverpool both in the EFL Cup and in the Premier League. However, they turned it around brilliantly against the champions.

While Brighton will be confident from their last results, Bournemouth have been a strong force at home this season. It could end in an entertaining draw given their injury issues.

Predicted Score: Bournemouth 2-2 Brighton
