South American giants Brazil and Uruguay national football teams are set to lock horns for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, CONMEBOL zone. This will be the 12th game of this phase for both sides, and both sides are sitting near the qualification zone for now.

Hosts Brazil just drew against Venezuela after two good wins. Now the most successful South American side is fourth in the table of qualification scenarios. The star-studded side is expected to go for a win against the age-old rivals, especially when playing at home. A win here will also let them climb up the table and make the target more easy to achieve.

Uruguay national football team are currently standing tall in the second spot just below reigning champions Argentina national football team. Their recent win against Colombia did earn them some praise, especially after the last minute winner. A win here can make them dream of reaching the pole position soon. So, we can assume that a win will be on the cards of both teams when they take the field against each other.

Key Players to Watch in Brazil vs Uruguay

The star Real Madrid winger is not having a good time at all. In the past few days, first, he missed the Ballon d’Or, previously he lost the El Clasico, now his penalty miss in the last game against Venezuela cost Brazil a loss of two points.  He should be pumped up to turn things around and show why he is regarded as one of the best in his generation.

For the Brazil national team, he never really clicked well. He went poorly in the recently concluded Copa America, and to date has only five international goals for the senior team. He needs to show his calibre and prove his stature in the national team. Otherwise, someone else from the football talent rich Brazil camps will take his place.

Darwin Núñez (Uruguay)

The Liverpool striker has been a real beast while representing Uruguay. He has 13 goals and three assists in 32 international games for the senior team. However, he hasn’t found the back of the net in the last seven games. So, now a goal against Brazil would surely boost his chances of going back to scoring frequently. Nunez should look at keeping shots on target and penetrating the defense, the rest will happen.

Brazil vs Uruguay Prediction

The Brazil national football team are expected to win this game, as they have home support in their favour. And, the stadium atmosphere, especially fans play a big part in these high-voltage clashes. Other factors also affect the games, like a good side, and form. The form is in favour of Uruguay, but Brazil have a good run too. Side wise, both teams are good, so a tough game is expected. Expectations of cards won’t be bad either.

Predicted Score: Brazil 2-1 Uruguay
