In a big clash in the Eredivisie on Sunday, PSV Eindhoven will host Feyenoord at the Philips Stadion.
PSV leads the league table after 16 games. They have 14 wins and two defeats and sit six points above second-place Ajax. They won the league title last season and will be eager to defend their title this time around.
Feyenoord, meanwhile, are fourth in the table after 16 games with 10 wins, five draws, and one defeat. They are seven points behind PSV and could ill-afford a loss on Sunday, which could extend the gap to 10 points.
Feyenoord won the title in the 2022-23 season but fell short by seven points last season. They will be keen to make up the ground and bring the title back to them.

Key Players to watch in PSV vs Feyenoord
Ricardo Pepi
The American striker has been excellent for PSV Eindhoven this season. He is their top scorer with 14 goals and two assists in 23 games across competitions. He also scored twice in their 8-0 hammering of Koninklijke HFC in the KNVB Cup in their last match.
Pepi joined PSV from German side Augsburg in the summer of 2023 and he’s scored 22 goals and provided five assists in 62 games for them. The 21-year-old will be keen to score in the big game on Sunday and establish himself in the first team.
Santiago Gimenez
The Mexico international has been brilliant for Feyenoord this season and is their top scorer with 10 goals and three assists in 13 games across competitions. He scored a hat-trick in their last league match as they beat Heracles 5-2 and will be keen to continue this run against PSV.
Gimenez has been linked with numerous clubs across Europe and could look for a move in the summer. He has scored 59 goals and provided 14 assists in 99 games for Feyenoord since arriving from CD Cruz Azul in 2022.
PSV vs Feyenoord Prediction
PSV have had an excellent season so far and sit atop the Eredivisie table as they look to defend their title. However, they have hit a bit of a snag in recent games. After a run of six straight wins, they faced two back-to-back defeats. They lost 1-0 against Brest in the UEFA Champions League before losing 1-0 against SC Heereveen in the Eredivisie.
However, they bounced back in incredible fashion, hammering Koninklijke HFC 8-0 at home in the KNVB Cup. Feyenoord, meanwhile, beat MVV Maastricht 2-1 in their KNVB Cup clash in midweek.
Feyenoord are unbeaten in their last eight games across competitions with six wins and two draws. They will be eager to beat PSV on Sunday and reduce the gap at the top of the table to four points. However, it will understandably be a tough task.
PSV will look to avoid two defeats in a row in the league and will take confidence from their 8-0 win. This could end in a draw.
Predicted Score: PSV 2-2 Feyenoord
