AFC Bournemouth 2-1 Manchester City Player Ratings as The Cherries end Man City’s 32-game unbeaten run

Bournemouth have handed Manchester City their first league defeat of this year’s Premier League campaign at the Vitality stadium and ended their 32-game unbeaten streak. The Cityzens fell 2-1 to Andoni Iraola’s side, which capped a very promising display throughout the 90 minutes.

The hosts took the lead with the help of Antoni Semenyo in the ninth minute after he turned and put an effort part Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson. The Cherries’ second goal was scored by Evanilson after Milos Kerkez’s cross found his in the Manchester City box.

The Cherries were very dominant in the game as Manchester City recorded their first shot on target in the 80th minute. Just two minutes later Josko Gvardiol’s header brought one back for City but was not enough to save them from the defeat.

Had a great game at the heart of the defence for his team maintaining 82 per cent passing accuracy for his team. He was involved in nine defensive actions and made five clearances for his team.

Illia Zabarnyi: 6.5/10

Zabarnyi had a decent display against the likes of Haaland, Foden, Silva and others. He maintained a passing accuracy of 93 per cent and was involved in eight defensive actions.

Adam Smith: 7.1/10

The English right-back had a great game contributing to both the defence as well as in attack. He was involved in 10 defensive actions and also took a shot on goal.

Midfielders

Ryan Christie: 6.8/10

Ryan Christie was taken off around the 65th-minute mark and was shown a yellow card for clumsily falling into Phil Foden from behind. He maintained a passing accuracy of 88 percent and recovered five balls for his team.

Lewis Cook: 7.0/10

Played a good game as a defensive midfielder maintaining passing accuracy of around 87 percent. He was involved in eight defensive actions and made three recoveries for his team.

Justin Kluivert: 7.2/10

The Dutch attacking midfielder had a good game up front with three shots on goal. He also created two chances for his team.

Marcus Tavernier: 6.9/10

He was subbed off around the 90-minute mark after a decent game at the left wing. He had a single shot on goal and created a chance for his team.

Scored the first goal of the match. He managed to finish Kerkez’s cross after controlling it and turning with Gvardiol.

Evanilson did really well with his positioning in the attack. He had two shots on goal. Scored the second goal moving the ball down the left wing quickly after Semenyo left in for him.

Subbed on in place of Ryan Christie around the 66th minute mark and had a decent game maintaining a passing accuracy of 86 percent.

Replaced Kluivert around the 77th minute and was not able to contribute much.

He came on to replace Evanilson and did not have much of an impact.

Andoni Iraola: 7/10

His team gave a superb performance giving a rare defeat to the Citizens in the Premier League. They took a two goal lead in the game and was able to take three points despite tremendous pressure and conceding a goal.
