Aston Villa hosted Crystal Palace for their EFL Carabao Cup game at Villa Park, Birmingham. Aston Villa started the proceeding as they knocked the ball around the field. But in the 8th minute of the game, Eberechi Eze scored from a beautiful lofted cross from Daniel Munoz to score the first blood, making it 1-0. Eberechi Eze was looking in great touch but unfortunately injured himself in the 18th minute to force an unwanted change.
