Brentford player ratings vs Newcastle United
Mark Flekken – 6.5: The goalkeeper had to make just two saves today but should have done a lot better for the goals he conceded today.
Defenders
Sepp van den Berg – 6.5: Another poor shot from the defender today as he was hardly getting involved. Still played the whole game.
Nathan Collins – 7: Scored the goal that got them ahead in the second half. He was decent against Isak today but had to work a lot harder than usual.
Ethan Pinnock – 5.5: The defender has once again struggled compared to the other players on the pitch. He was unable to keep up with the Newcastle United forwards and never looked comfortable.
Keane Lewis-Potter – 6: He was rather quiet today as he could not get on the ball a lot.
Midfielders
Yehor Yarmoliuk – 7.5: Excellent from the Brentford star today and he controlled the game. He was all over the pitch and kept moving about to give his teammates options.
Vitaly Janelt – 6: He was roaming behind the attackers full time and drifted a lot to the left wing. Controlled the game and ensured Newcastle United did not get to counter easily.
Fabio Carvalho – 8: The Brentford star got his must-awaited chance but failed to impress. He was decent but never managed to threaten the Newcastle United defenders in any way.
Bryan Mbeumo – 8.5: Back to his best and how! Scored a stunner and then assisted to help his side seal a 4-2 win. Could have easily had another goal right at the very end.
