In the final matchday of the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers, Cameroon defeated Zimbabwe in a hard-fought 2-1 scoreline to secure the first finish on the Group J points table at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.
For the hosts, goals from striker Vincent Aboubakar and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou in the initial half separated Cameroon from the visitors to claim all three points on home soil. In response, Zimbabwe’s substitute Terrence Dzvukamanja scored the one for his side but could not inspire to stage a comeback despite coming close on several occasions.
At the full-time whistle, the Warriors had to settle with loss but finished the campaign as runners-up of the Group and confirmed their qualification for the AFCON 2025 in Morroco along with Cameroon from Group J.

His tendency to make things complicated got him into trouble at times, notably in the added time when he came off his line to head the ball outside the box and left the goal open, fortunately, the shot hit the crossbar.

He had created numerous chances with overlapping runs down the right flank and lofting crosses inside the box.
Enzo Boyomo – 7.5
Boyomo was one of the standouts, phenomenal with his passing, and also won three out of three tackles and all of his duels.

The centre-back did well in supporting his defensive pairing Enzo Boyomo in the defense.
Nouhou Tolo – 6.5
He played as left back and made some key recoveries though cannot create any chances.
Midfielders
Martin Hongla – 7
He was positioned in between the defence and midfield as a central defensive midfielder and remained excellent in passing and attempted two shots.
Georges-Kevin N’Koudou – 9
N’Koudou assisted in the opener and doubled the lead just after five minutes, netting the second goal of the game with a shot from the left side of the box.
Frank Magri – 6.5
He created key chances and was involved in five recoveries during his 70-minute outing.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa – 7
Napoli man missed big chances and had attempted three shot in the entire game.
Christian Bassogog – 8
Provided the assist for the second goal, but also missed a big chance when Aboubkar laid off a perfect ball for him to smash behind the keeper. Nonetheless, he was brilliant overall.

The Cardiff City midfielder did his job as a holding midfielder in front of the defence and prevented Cameroonian attacks on some occasions.
