Chelsea have eased into the knockout stages of the UEFA Conference League with a 5-1 win over Shamrock Rovers. They have finished with six wins out of six, but the loss left the Irish side outside the Top 8 and they will need to play an extra round in 2025.
Marc Guiu scored a hattrick in the first half before Marc Cucurella and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored once each for the home side. Markus Poom scored the lone goal for the away side.
Chelsea player ratings vs Shamrock Rovers
Goalkeeper
Filip Jorgensen – 8.5: The goalkeeper made an excellent save when called into action, and there was nothing he could do about the goal they conceded.
Defenders
Josh Acheampong – 8: He showed his talent and proved why Chelsea were desperate to keep him. Celebrated his new contract with a brilliant performance.
Axel Disasi – 7.5: Captained the side today and did not put a foot wrong.
Renato Veiga – 8.5: Another flawless performance from the Portuguese star who played as a center-back today. His versatility might be a big boost for Enzo Maresca.
Marc Cucurella – 9: He was a surprise start for Chelsea today but he did not take the game lightly and showed why he deserves to be called the best left-back in the game right now.
Midfielders
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 8: He did much better than expected today and got on the scoresheet again. He might push for a long move next month and this might have been his last Chelsea start.
Cesare Casadei – 7: Back from his suspension but not his best game. Decent on the ball. The ball deflected off him for the Shamrock Rovers’ goal.
Noni Madueke – 7.5: The winger played just 45 minutes and he was trying his best to get Chelsea more goals. Sadly, no goal or assist for him today.
Christopher Nkunku – 8: He wanted a goal but was getting closed down a lot by the Shamrock Rovers’ players. He still ended up with 2 assists in the game.
Tyrique George – 7: He was desperate to impress but just could not get the end product right. Still a good display from the teenager.
Forwards
Marc Guiu – 10: He scored a hattrick in the first half and he created two chances from backpasses. Simply too good for the Irish side.
Substitutes
Harvey Vale – 6.5
Harrison Murray-Campbell – 7
João Félix – 6
Sam Rak-Sakyi – 6
Manager
Enzo Maresca – 10: He sent out a strong XI and then made changes to give the youngsters a chance. Cannot complain about any of his decisions.

Leon Pohls – 6: The goalkeeper made 4 saves, but he could do nothing about the goals. Still one of the better players from the away side.
Defender
Dan Cleary – 4.5: He made a mistake for one of the Chelsea goals and just could not get into the game.
Roberto Lopes – 5.5: Lucky to have been sent off for his foul on Joso Felix. Stayed back most of the game and was one of their better defenders.

Midfielders
Darragh Burns – 5: He made a bad mistake for a Chelsea goal, and that was his biggest contribution today.
Dylan Watts – 6: The midfielder was all over the pitch for Shamrock but never managed to get himself involved. He finished with just 13 passes in his 68 minutes on the pitch.
Gary O’Neill – 5.5: He played over 70 minutes today but hardly got involved in the match.
