Fulham 2-1 Brentford: Player ratings as Harry Wilson nets stoppage-time double to down the Bees

Fulham beat Brentford in a 2-1 victory at the Craven Cottage in the Premier League on Monday. Harry Wilson fired the Cottagers back into the game in stoppage-time after Vitaly Janelt’s 24th-minute strike, a long-range stunner that left Bernd Leno with no chance, had put them almost over the line. Another five minutes later, Wilson came back to haunt the Bees with a second goal to turn the match around for a spectacular win. Here are the player ratings:

Bernd Leno – 6.5

Stood no chance with Janelt’s strike; wasn’t really tested otherwise.

Defenders

Kenny Tete – 7.5

Excellent with his duels to regain possession several times and timed his tackles perfectly too.

Joachim Andersen – 6

Solid positioning and good distribution of the ball.

Calvin Bassey – 6

Plucked the ball off his markers a few times.

Antonee Robinson – 6.5

Drove forward well to join up their attacks; laid six crosses too and assisted Wilson’s winner too.

Midfielders

Andreas Pereira – 7.5

Struggled to win his duels but didn’t allow Brentford a moment’s rest in defense, as Pereira was a constant source of crosses.

Sander Berge – 6.5

Circulated the ball superbly and laid one key pass too.

Forwards

Alex Iwobi – 7

A key figure in attack with five crosses and one key pass.

Emile Smith Rowe – 7.5

A menacing presence upfront for the Cottagers, laying four key passes and completing 98% of his passes.

Reiss Nelson – 7.5

Fought hard for the ball, winning six of his 10 duels, twisted Brentford’s defense inside out with his precocious dribbles, and fed his attackers with a series of crosses too.

Raul Jimenez – 6

Strong in his duels, but couldn’t offer much direct threat.

Substitutes

Adama Traore – 6.5

Added plenty of attacking flair; set up Wilson for the equalizer.

A complete non-factor for the Cottagers.

Made a couple of high-profile saves to deny Fulham and keep the Bees into the game.

Held the fort well to look solid at the back, while also reclaiming the ball a few times.

Strong in the air, but not involved much in the proceedings.

A bright spark for Brentford in the attack; bagged the assist for Janelt’s goal too.
