Leicester City vs Chelsea Player Ratings

Leicester City 1-2 Chelsea: Player Ratings as Enzo Fernandez Shines in Narrow Win

Chelsea should have got a comfortable win today, but needed a nervy end to seal all three points against Leicester City. The Blues managed to come away with a 2-1 win and that was enough for them to go within a point of 2nd placed Manchester City, who face Tottenham later today.

Nicolas Jackson scored the first goal of the match with a brilliant finish after creating a chance of out nothing. The Blues had multiple chances to double their lead but failed to get any of their shots into the net.

Ndidi and Soumare escaped red cards in the first-half despite VAR checking both tackles but that did not stop Chelsea from doubling their lead. Enzo Fernandez scored a header before Jordan Ayew scored from the spot late into injury time to pull one back for the home side.

Goalkeeper

Mads Hermansen – 8: Leicester city’s best player easily despite conceding twice. He made 4 saves in the game and was hardly at fault for both goals.

Defenders

James Justin – 6.5: Never managed to deal with Joao Felix and Marc Cucurella today. the Chelsea duo ran the rule on the left flank and that defender got very little support.

Wout Faes – 6: Lost his battle with Nicolas Jackson for the first goal and was never able to himself into the game. Should have done a lot better to help his side today.

Caleb Okoli – 6: Tried his best but just not enough to deal with Nicolas Jackson. Got beaten easily for the first Chelsea goal and he was left clueless.
