Newcastle 1-0 Arsenal Player Ratings: Alexander Isak’s first-half strike settles close encounter

Newcastle hosted Arsenal at St. James’ Park in the early kick-off in the Premier League on Saturday, November 2 and secured a 1-0 win against the Gunners.

Alexander Isak gave the Magpies a deserved lead just 12 minutes into the contest as Anthony Gordon provided an assist. However, that was the only real chance of a first half in which not much else happened.

Arsenal showed some sense of fight in the second period but they could not create decent opportunities, while players from both sides continued getting booked at regular intervals. There were a total of seven bookings brandished by the referee in the second period but no more goals to speak of as Newcastle defeated Arsenal 1-0.

On that note, let’s take a look at the player ratings for both teams.
