Goalkeeper

Matz Sels – 6: Made three saves today but never looked confident while making the saves. He was beaten with ease for the goals, except for the second one, which was unstoppable.

Defenders

Ola Aina – 6.5: Scored in the previous match but nothing special today. Joelinton and Barnes had a field day against him, and there was little he could do in attack too.

Nikola Milenković – 5: Never looked in position and was getting drawn out by the Newcastle United forwards. Lost just one duel but Nuno will be worried about how he reads the games.

Murillo – 7: First goal in the league, and what a header it was! The training ground routine paid off, but that was his best contribution to the game.

Álex Moreno – 6.6: The loanee has been showing why he should join permanently but today was not his best. He lost all his aerial duels and also kept losing possession in the match.

Midfielders

Ryan Yates – 7.5: The captain delivered today but that cannot be said about his teammates. He was ready to shoot at every chance and was also trying to create chances.

Nicolás Domínguez – 7: Decent performance in the middle of the park but just not enough. He did well to win possession but was not able to do much with it.

Morgan Gibbs-White – 6: His highlight today was once again getting into an argument with the opponent than anything with the ball. Played in the middle of the midfield and attack, but hardly got involved.

Forwards

Anthony Elanga – 7.5: Got an assist from the set piece but that was just a cherry on the cake for him. He was ready to ensure they always had an option in attack and stayed by the touchline.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 6: Not a memorable performance for Hudson-Odoi as he was hardly getting to cut inside. The Chelsea academy star was stopped by the oterh former Chelsea academy star – Livramento – and that forced Nottingham to take him off.

Chris Wood – 6.5: The Premier League player of the month for October was just not able to get in the game today. Did not get a single shot away as Newcastle United defenders gave him no space.

Goalkeeper

Nick Pope – 7: Had to make just two saves today and was hardly at fault for the goal conceded. Was confident to come out and collect the ball every time he was needed.

Defenders

Valentino Livramento – 7: Got hit in the mouth early in the match but still managed to keep himself together and play the full game. He has shown why Eddie Howe starts him over trippier these days.

Fabian Schär – 7: Never gave Chris Wood a chance to shoot with ease today. His main role was to be the striker’s shadow, and he did it flawlessly.

Dan Burn – 6: Got booked early in the first half and should have been sent off in the second. Somehow finished the whole game and did well in managing Chris Wood.

Lewis Hall – 7.5: Pick of the Newcastle United defenders this evening, and he was up and down the pitch. The left-back never stopped running throughout the match and was brilliant in keeping Elanga quiet.

Midfielders

Sean Longstaff – 7: All over the pitch today and always available for his teammates. He was ready to sit back every time Guimares went forward and also move to the middle to intercept the attacks from Nottingham Forest.

Bruno Guimarães – 6.5: The rating would have skyrocketed if his outside-of-the-foot effort went in today. However, he was just decent today and nothing special but that is more than enough for Newcastle United to collect all three points.

Joe Willock – 7: Played just over an hour and did well in helping Newcastle United get back in the game. He was more involved in the attack today but ensured that he came back to help out in the defense too.

Forwards

Anthony Gordon – 7: No goal or assist today but it was a good performance. Went off injured in the second half and Newcastle United will be hoping that he is fit after the international break.

Alexander Isak – 8: Scored the equalizer and should have scored at least one more in the game. Yet another performance that shows why he is one of the best in the league.

Joelinton – 8.5: Scored a stunning goal to give Newcastle United the lead in the second half. He is the heartbeat of this year and gets involved in all attacks, while also helping out in defense.
