West Ham United vs Man United Player Ratings: The Hammers see off Red Devils in Riveting Contest

In an exciting game week 9 match-up of the Premier League 2024/25 season, West Ham United hosted Man United and Julien Lopetegui supervised West Ham to guarantee a 2-1 triumph over Erik Ten Hag’s Red Devils at the London Stadium.

The summer signing from Leeds United and last season’s EFL Championship player of the year, Crysencio Summerville bagged his first goal in a West Ham shirt and Casemiro and Zirkzee combined to pull visitors back in the game making the scoreline 1-1. However, a controversial penalty call from VAR again shifted the game in the favour of the hosts as Jarrord Bowen was clinical with his penalty, which was enough for them to seize the victory.

This win comes as a sigh of relief to the hosts following last week’s embarrassing 4-0 humiliation to Tottenham at Home, its third league win for the Hammers in 9 matches and are now sitting in 13th place. Meanwhile, pressure is back on Erik Ten Hag and the team following their 4th league defeat of the 2024/25 league campaign.
