Lens manager Franck Haise has been linked with a move to Anfield who has done commendable work during his time in Ligue 1 after he guided Lens to second place in the French league last term.
Liverpool are currently compiling a list of managers who can potentially replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season as the German coach has decided to leave Anfield after nine years with the Merseyside club.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso has emerged as the favourite to take over the Liverpool managerial role, however, it is uncertain that the Spaniard will be tempted by a return to Anfield.
According to sources, Eddie Howe, Julian Nagelsmann, Roberto De Zerbi and Ruben Amorim are currently on Liverpool’s wishlist but Lens manager Franck Haise is a surprise name on the list.

Haise has done an incredible job at Lens in transforming them into one of France’s top clubs and has drawn parallels to the work that Jurgen Klopp has done at Anfield. French football expert Jonathan Johnson claims that Liverpool are currently exploring a move for the 52-year-old manager.
“Although we’ve heard a lot about names like Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi, Lens manager Franck Haise has also been linked as one potential outsider for the Liverpool job after his impressive work in Ligue 1,” Johnson explains.
“My understanding is that, yes, there has been interest in him going back a couple of years now, not just from Liverpool but also from other clubs across Europe.”
Who are the other candidates for the Liverpool managerial role?
Xabi Alonso – The Bayer Leverkusen is currently the frontrunner for the Liverpool role as he has earned his reputation as one of Europe’s best young coaches as Leverkusen are closing in on their first-ever Bundesliga title. His extraordinary unbeaten record of 37 games in all competitions has earned him plaudits from around the globe.
Roberto de Zerbi – The Italian manager has emerged as one of the candidates who can potentially replace Jurgen Klopp next season. He’s had a successful stint due to his explosive start with Brighton & Hove Albion but could be tempted to make a move in the summer. He has expressed his frustrations with the club’s hierarchy due to their lack of involvement in the January window which could lead to a surprise exit at the end of this campaign.
