Fulham vs Tottenham Match Preview
Fulham vs Tottenham will take place Craven Cottage on March 16 as the two London rivals square off in the Premier League.
The hosts enter this game on the back of a mixed run of form. With three wins and two defeats in their last five games in the league, they were looking to find some stability. The Cottagers scored 10 and conceded six goals in that run, with their last outing being a 2-1 defeat at Wolves. Currently 10th in the table with 35 points, they were looking for a positive result to climb into the top half of the table.
Spurs, on the other hand, have lost just once in their last six games. However, they kept just one clean sheet in that span, scoring 15 and conceding eight goals. Their last game was a thumping 4-0 win against fellow top-four contenders Aston Villa as they closed the gap to just two points. Placed fifth in the table with 53 points, a win against Fulham would take Spurs into fourth place. They would overtake Villa for the time being, who play West Ham the following day.
Having said that, let’s take a look at the team news coming from both camps.
Team News
Fulham
Manager Marco Silva will have a very short injury list to worry about ahead of the next game. Striker Raul Jimenez has been out long-term and is not expected to make a return to action anytime soon.
Joao Palhinha marked his return with an appearance from the bench last time around in a positive sign for Fulham. Captain Harrison Reed started the last two games after going off injured in the team’s 2-1 win against Manchester United.
Tottenham
Manager Ange Postecoglou will have a much longer injury list to deal with, as players in key positions will miss out. Midfielders Manor Solomon (meniscus) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) have been out long-term and are unlikely to return to action anytime soon. Striker Richarlison (knee) has also missed the last few games and will miss the next one as well.
In another blow for Postecoglou, Micky van de Ven came off injured in the win against Aston Villa. In what looked like a hamstring injury, the defender could be set for another spell on the sidelines and will miss Fulham vs Tottenham.
Predicted Lineups

Silva has stuck with the same lineup in recent weeks but Joao Palhinha could make his first start since returning from injury.
Predicted XI: Bernd Leno (GK); Timothy Castagne, Tosin Adarabioyo, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson; Harrison Reed (C), Joao Palhina; Harry Wilson, Andreas Pereira, Alex Iwobi; Rodrigo Muniz.

Postecoglou will be forced into one change as van de Ven will make way for Radu Dragusin. The rest of the lineup is likely to be the same as the last game.
Predicted XI: Guglielmo Vicario (GK); Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Radu Dragusin, Destiny Udogie; Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr; Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson; Heung-min Son (C).
Fulham vs Tottenham Head-to-Head Record
The two London clubs have faced other frequently over the last several years. However, Tottenham have been dominant over the last five meetings, winning four of those. They have also kept three clean sheets in three of those four wins.
Last 5 Games
- Tottenham 2-0 Fulham (10/23)
- Fulham 1-1 (5-3 pens.) Tottenham (08/23)
- Fulham 0-1 Tottenham (01/23)
- Tottenham 2-1 Fulham (09/22)
- Fulham 0-1 Tottnenham (03/21)
Prediction
Considering the current gap in quality between the two squads and the recent history between the two teams, Tottenham are the favourites to win this game. Just one of the last five meetings has seen three or more goals scored, so this could be another low-scoring encounter.
Prediction: Fulham 0-2 Tottenham.
Betting Tips & Odds
The cagey nature of the previous encounters indicates that the upcoming game could be heading in the same direction. However, Spurs have the upper hand and have the better defence as well.
However, both teams have had free-scoring games in their recent history overall, and this game could see both sides get on the scoresheet.
