LAFC vs Nashville Preview
LAFC vs Nashville in the Major League Soccer (MLS) will take place at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on March 24.
The hosts will enter this contest on the back of a faltering run of form. After recording three wins on the bounce, LA are winless in their last three games. To add to their woes, they have not scored in nearly 300 minutes of football. LAFC are currently 10th in the Western Conference and 20th overall, but will look to find form to replicate last season’s third-placed finish in the West. Having lost 2-0 to Minnesota last time out, they will look to put in a better performance.
The visitors, on the other hand, are in a much better place with just one defeat in their last eight games across competitions. However, they have won just three of those games, recording draws in the other four. Nashville crashed out of the CONCACAF Champions Cup after a 5-3 aggregate defeat to Inter Miami in the round of 16. However, they bounced back with a 2-1 win over Charlotte in the MLS in their last game and will look to replicate that performance.
With that said, let’s take a look at the team news coming out of both camps.
LAFC vs Nashville Team News
LAFC
Manager Steven Cherundolo will have a very short injury list to deal with ahead of this game. Nineteen-year-old defender Lorenzo Dellavalle has missed the last few games with an unknown injury and is set to miss the next few weeks as well.
Apart from that, Cherundolo will have a fully fit squad available for selection.
Nashville
Manager Jacob Shaffelberg will be without two players for his team’s next game. Veteran defender Walker Zimmerman and midfielder Randall Leal have missed the team’s last few games. The pair will not recover in time for the next one and could remain sidelined for the next few weeks.
The team performed well with Alex Muyl and Sam Surridge scoring in a 2-1 win against Charlotte last time around. Shaffelberg will have his entire squad fit and available for selection.
