Liverpool vs Burnley Match Preview

  • Tournament – Premier League
  • Date – Saturday, February 10, 2024
  • Kick-off Time – 03:00 pm GMT
  • Venue – Anfield

Liverpool have had a brilliant 2023-24 campaign so far but suffered a demoralizing defeat against Arsenal in their last Premier League game. They were outplayed at the Emirates as the Gunners won 3-1.

Despite the defeat, the Reds remain at the top of the table, two points above Arsenal and Manchester City. It was only their second league defeat of the season and they have won 15 and drawn six games.

Meanwhile, Burnley have struggled to keep up with the rigors of the Premier League this season and are 19th in the table with three wins, 16 defeats, and four draws. They are winless in their last six games across competitions.

Vincent Kompany’s side will look to cause a big upset at Anfield while Liverpool will look to avoid any slip-ups in their pursuit of the title.

Prediction

Liverpool will be itching to get back to winning ways and bounce back from their defeat against Arsenal. It was arguably their worst performance of the season and defensive mistakes from the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson cost them the game.

Meanwhile, Burnley played out a good 2-2 draw against Fulham at home in their last game. They trailed by 2-0 until the 70th minute but bounced back to secure a confidence-boosting draw.

However, Liverpool should have enough quality to see off Burnley at home.

Predicted Score: Liverpool 4-0 Burnley
