Early Life
Abdullah Al-Mayouf was born on 23 January 1987 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and he started his career as a goalkeeper in Al Hilal.

Al Hilal
Abdullah Al Mayouf signed his first contract with Al Hilal and appeared in his first team match against Al-Ansar. He played his next match on 1 March 2005 with an African Club Tunisian in the Arab Champions League. In the 2005 Arab Champion League, he made his last appearance in Al-Hilal club by replacing Al-Deayea due to some injury against Al Ittihad.

Al-Ahli
After being released from Al-Hilal in 2007, Abdullah Al-Mayouf joined Al Ahli on 31 October and debuted with this club on 30 December 2007 against Al-Tai in the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Cup match.
In the league, he made his debut on 13 January 2007 against Al-Qadsiah. He also started the Saudi Crown Prince Cup against Al Hilal but his team lost the match. In 2013, he renewed his contact with Al-Ahli. He made just 8 appearances in the 2015-16 season of all competitions. After that, his contract expired and he refused to sign a new contract due to some personal reasons and left Al-Ahli.
Al-Hilal
In 2016, Abdullah Al Mayouf returned to his first club Al-Hilal after nine years with Al-Ahli. On 8 August 2006, he made his team debut against his former group Al-Ahli in Saudi Super Cup 2016 which they lost and he made his league debut on 13 August against Al-Batin. He also played in the finals of King Cup against Al-Ahli and they won by 3-2 scores. In 2018, he renewed his contract for two years with Al-hilal. In the league match of 2020, Al Mayouf saved a penalty and helped his team to win the match. After that, he again renewed his contract with Al-Hilal for three years.
Al-Ittihad
He joined Al-Ittihad on 3 September 2023 and he signed a two-year contract with Al-Ittihad.
International Career
In 2018, Abdullah Al-Mayouf was also named for Saudi Arabia’s squad in the FIFA World Cup Russia and he played in the opening against the hosts. However, he was not selected for the two remaining games due to his dismal performance in the tournament opening. On 11 December 2019, he announced that he was retiring from international football.
