An Alejandro Garnacho goal has given Manchester United the lead against Manchester City in the FA Cup final. Garnacho has scored in the 30th minute at Wembley to give United the lead. The goal came as a result of a horrendous piece of defending from City.
Stefan Ortega came out of his goal and found himself in no man’s land while dealing with a long ball. Josko Gvardiol headed the ball over the onrushing Ortega. Garnacho had the empty net to tap it into and he did it without any mistake.

Ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City, Alejandro Garnacho highlighted the importance of winning the FA Cup. He came on as a substitute as United lost 2-1 in the final last season. Speaking about winning the cup, he said (via Manchester United’s website):
“Everyone’s dream is to win trophies. I won my first one last season [the Carabao Cup], my first season also. So it would be very special to win another one, and also for next season to finish this one [well], and then start the next one with with more motivation and trying to win more trophies.”
Manchester United are currently leading 2-0 in the FA Cup final. After the Alejandro Garnacho goal, Kobbie Mainoo has also scored to make it 2-0.
