Amad Diallo Commits to Manchester United Stay Despite Championship Interest

In a decisive move, Manchester United‘s young talent Amad Diallo has reportedly rejected offers from Championship teams in the January transfer window, expressing his determination to remain at Old Trafford for the remainder of the season.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the 21-year-old winger has no intentions of seeking a loan move to the second tier, a decision influenced by discussions with United’s manager, Erik ten Hag.

Amad Diallo to Stay at Old Trafford

Despite interest from Middlesbrough, managed by United legend Michael Carrick, Amad Diallo has firmly stated his preference to stay at the club.

The Ivory Coast international, who spent the previous season on loan at Sunderland, has declined potential moves to Championship sides, emphasizing his desire to show respect to the Black Cats. In response to recent links with Birmingham, Diallo bluntly dismissed the speculation, urging media outlets to ‘stop lying.’

Amad Diallo’s return to action came in late December, marking his first appearance of the season after recovering from a knee injury. While he featured off the bench in the 2-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest, he was notably absent in the subsequent 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

With aspirations to contribute significantly, Diallo is eyeing a spot in Erik ten Hag’s lineup for the upcoming FA Cup clash against Newport County on January 28. Despite missing out on the Africa Cup of Nations squad, the talented winger aims to make an impact on the domestic front.
