Casemiro Stats: Brazilian clinches unwanted record during humiliating defeat against Crystal Palace

Casemiro has just witnessed what could arguably be his poorest performance in a Manchester United shirt.

The Brazilian just could not find his feet and was made to run circles against the prolific attack of Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Having started the game out of his comfort zone as a centre-half was a questionable decision, yet the degree of humiliation from a seasoned veteran is just not acceptable.

Casemiro Stats: A horrific night at Selhurst Park

As per reports, in 90 minutes Casemiro was dribbled past eight times at Selhurst Park, the most by anyone in the Premier League this season.

It was a nightmare for the travelling Reds whose hopes were pulled down completely by Michael Olise who got past the Manchester United number 18 sending to the ground before scoring the opener in the 12th minute.

A similar act was orchestrated by Jean-Philippe Mateta who extended the Eagles lead to 2-0, while sending both centre-halves Casemiro and Jonny Evans to no man’s land.

Casemiro’s troubles carried over into the second half.

The final goal of the night saw Daniel Munoz just bully off Casemiro by disposing of him outside the penalty box before gifting Olise his second goal.

This French connection was the final nail in the coffin for Manchester United as the game ended 4-0 leaving the side with absolutely nothing positive take back home.

“It’s shambolic,” said former Manchester United star Ashley Young. “Casemiro, I don’t know what he’s thinking, what he’s doing.”

“Maybe he thinks that Olise is going to go backwards. Olise sees he’s going to come out and make a challenge and literally just walks past him. It’s so easy, so easy.”

Carragher also commented saying: “He’s playing out of position tonight. This has nothing to do with playing out of position – that could be a holding midfield role. That is embarrassing. They need to bring him off!”

“He needs to come off. Nothing can be worse than Casemiro playing centre-back in this second half for Manchester United. Put [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka on in the middle and put someone at full-back.”
