Canada, on the other hand, qualified as runners-up from Group A and faced Venezuela in the quarters. They were given a tough fight and the match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes as well, but the Canadians rallied together and secured a heroic 4-3 win in the shoot-out to progress. They will look to do their best against the defending champions.
