Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arne Slot has formally signed the contract as the new Liverpool coach. Romano further updated that an official announcement from the Merseysiders will take place soon.
Some of Slot’s staff are still awaiting their work permit. The deal will be sealed once these formalities are resolved. Romano’s recent tweet read:
“Arne Slot formally signs his contract as new Liverpool head coach today, all documents are in place. The official announcement will follow with #LFC desired timing. Work permit still pending for some of his staff members and then it will be all sealed.”
Slot joins the Reds from Feyenoord Rotterdam. He has been chosen as the manager with the difficult task of replacing Jurgen Klopp. The German is set to step down at the end of the season. Slot has gained attention with his work at Feyenoord. His side have won the KNVB Cup this season. Slot is also one of the highest-paid coaches in Dutch football at the moment.
Arne Slot to Liverpool: Dutch manager confirms the appointment
Arne Slot has revealed in a press conference that he will become the next Liverpool coach. The Reds will reportedly pay a 9.4 million GBP compensation to Feyenoord. Slot said in a recent press conference (via ESPN):
“I can confirm that I will become the trainer there next year.”
Slot signed a three-year deal with Feyenoord after leading them to Eredivisie glory. His next chapter, however, lies with the Premier League outfit.
