Arsenal are keen to offload both Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko

Several reports are circling around the future of Arsenal full-backs Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Gunners are reportedly ready to part ways with both players this summer.

Both Tierney and Zinchenko were the competing players in the left-back position with the latter cementing that role since his arrival from Manchester City in the summer of 2022. But Zinchenko endured a frustrating 2023/24 campaign managing only 2,082 minutes of game time across 35 games.

Arsenal slashed their asking price for Kieran Tierney

The Scottish full-back was an instant hit at the Emirates since his arrival from Celtic in 2019 and was a regular in his first three seasons with the club. However, injuries and the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jurrien Timber played a massive role in his downfall.

Tierney spent the last season on loan at Real Sociedad making 27 appearances across all competitions for the San Sebastián-based outfit. The left-back role has constantly been experimented with by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. Tierney has returned to Arsenal with two more years still left on his contract.

It is reported that Arsenal are ready to offload the struggling Scottish full-back for as low as £10m in the upcoming summer transfer window. So far, no clubs have actively shown their interest in the 27-year-old defender.

When asked about his future at Arsenal, Tierney said:

But it’s maybe a bit different for someone who has played four years already and goes back, but you genuinely never know. Football is a mad place so let’s see what happens.

Where will Oleksandr Zinchenko move this summer?

Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has been a reliable performer for Arsenal since he arrived from Manchester City in the summer of 2022. According to TBR Football, Arsenal are no longer interested in the services of the 27-year-old defender who won four Premier League titles.

He lost his natural left-back position to Takehiro Tomiyasu towards the end of the 2023/24 season which has questioned the defender’s future at Arsenal in the upcoming campaign. Despite a turbulent campaign, Zinchenko still remains one of the versatile defenders and his availability could interest several clubs this summer.

According to reports, Vincent Kompany is keen to reunite with the Ukrainian defender at the Allianz Arena in the summer transfer window. The Bavarians are fidgeting over the future of Real Madrid-bound Alphonso Davies and Zinchenko seems like a viable target for the German giants.
