Aston Villa vs Bournemouth will kick off on Sunday afternoon at Villa Park as the two sides meet on matchday 34 in the English Premier League. Aston Villa will enter the battle at Villa Park on the back of a stunning 2-0 victory against Arsenal away from home. Meanwhile, visiting Villa Park are the Cherries. Bournemouth have enjoyed a good season and they seem set to finish higher than last season in the Premier League table. Their tally of 42 points till now this campaign has already seen them surpass their points tally from last season. The cherries were in action over the weekend as well and they displayed their newfound resilience as they held Manchester United to a 2-2 draw. The Villains have been tremendous under Unai Emery this season and their performance over the weekend against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium was further evidence of their brilliance. However, in recent weeks the side aiming to finish in a top 4 spot has struggled a little due to injuries to crucial players.

On Sunday, Aston Villa will be without Jacob Ramsey. The youngster picked up a foot injury back in March and is still recovering from the injury. While he is inching closer to returning for the Unai Emery-led side, he will certainly not feature in Aston Villa vs Bournemouth. Ramsey will be accompanied by Boubacar Kamara. The midfielder’s knee injury has been a massive blow for Villa as he has been ruled out for the season.

Striker Emiliano Buendia and defender Tyrone Mings continue to view Villa from the stands as their long-term injuries continue to sideline them for a long time. For the Aston Villa vs Bournemouth game, they will be accompanied by Douglas Luiz in the stands as the Brazilian is set to miss the game via suspension.

Iraola’s side has been injury-free for most of the campaign, but recently have been plagued by them. Midfielder Tyler Adams signed for Bournemouth in August but has missed most of the season due to injuries. While he finally seemed to return for good, a new back injury has ruled out the American. He is now unlikely to feature in the Aston Villa vs Bournemouth battle.

Andoni Iraola’s side were also dealt a big blow in their tie against Man United as winger Luis Sinisterra sustained a fresh setback with his hamstring injury. The winger had only recently returned for the Cherries and is now unlikely to return before May. His partner in crime on the wings, Marcus Tavernier will also miss the Aston Villa vs Bournemouth tie with a muscle injury.

Meanwhile, Ryan Fredericks and Antoine Semenyo will continue to recover from their injuries on the sidelines.

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth Prediction:

Both sides come into the game on the back of three victories in their last five outings. While Aston Villa managed to stun Arsenal in their previous outing, Bournemouth held the mighty Red Devils to a draw as well. Under Iraola, the Cherries are no longer pushovers and more often than not prove to be a thorn in the sides of clubs looking to bag an easy victory. With Aston Villa being in action midweek as well, they could arrive tired on Sunday handing the well-rested Bournemouth an advantage. However, on paper, Villa are way too strong for Bournemouth and should have enough to beat the Cherries.

Predicted Score: Aston Villa 2-1 Bournemouth
