Aston Villa vs Wolves Preview

  • Date – Saturday, March 30, 2024
  • Kick-off Time – 5:30 pm GMT
  • Venue – Villa Park

Aston Villa have had an excellent 2023-24 campaign so far and are competing for fourth place in the Premier League. They currently sit in fourth place with 17 wins, five draws, and seven defeats.

However, Villa are without a win in their last two league games, losing 4-0 against Tottenham Hotspur and drawing 1-1 against West Ham. They sit just three points above fifth-placed Spurs, who have a game in hand. Hence, Unai Emery’s side will be keen to get back to winning ways after the international break.

Wolves, meanwhile, are chasing European football and are ninth in the league standings with 12 wins, five losses and 11 draws. They have won three of their last five league games and are just three points behind seventh-placed West Ham with a game in hand.

Aston Villa vs Wolves Prediction

Aston Villa have dropped crucial points in the race for top four in the last two games. However, they’ve lost just once in their last seven games across competitions. They played out a 1-1 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium last time out and were arguably lucky to get a point.

Wolves, meanwhile, have won four of their last six games but were shockingly eliminated from the FA Cup in the quarter-finals by Championship side Coventry City.

Both sides have goals to aim for and will be keen to get all three points. However, both sides are also missing some key players, which could hamper their progress. It should be a close contest at Villa Park.

Predicted Score: Aston Villa 2-1 Wolves
