Barcelona receive positive news after Dani Olmo injury scare

Barcelona have received some positive information about the fitness status of Dani Olmo, after the Spain international picked up an injury on international break. Spain manager Luis de la Fuente had said, “Dani Olmo suffered a strong blow against Serbia, and we don’t know how he feels now. He won’t train with us today”.

Barcelona were left sweating about the fitness about their new star, while they are already massively injury stricken. Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Olmo has undergone additional tests on his knee to determine the extent of the problem and it’s been found just to be a strong bruise.

Olmo has made a fantastic beginning to life with the Blaugrana, scoring twice in two games. There had been hiccups in registering him after a big money move this summer but that seems to be of the past now. The attacking midfielder had received his elementary footballing education at La Masia and he will be keen to impress now that he’s back.

Barcelona have serious injury concerns all over the pitch. Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen are seemingly out until the new year. Gavi is still recuperating from an ACL injury he suffered last year and in the mean time they have lost another young midfielder Marc Bernal to the same issue. Ansu Fati and Frenkie de Jong are on the last phase of recovery and expected back soon. In the meantime, Fermin Lopez and Robert Lewandowski have picked up problems this international football break.

Barca will be hoping that Olmo plays no more part in the next game that Spain have coming up, given his injury history isn’t the best.
