Bayer Leverkusen pulled off a late comeback to draw 2-2 against AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg. Leandro Paredes gave Roma a two-goal lead by scoring two penalties (43′, 66′). However, an own goal from Gianluca Mancini (82′) and Josip Stanisic’s injury-time strike (90+7′) kept Leverkusen’s winning streak alive. They have reached the UEL final, courtesy of a 4-1 aggregate win against Roma.

Matej Kovar– 7.5: Conceded two penalty goals. However, Kovar made some crucial saves to keep his side in the game, which turned out to be crucial.

Edmond Tapsoba– 6.5: Was accurate with his passing from the back. However, Tapsoba could have been more solid defensively.

Jonathan Tah– 6: Tah was exceptionally accurate with his passing. However, Tah gave away a penalty, which Roma capitalized on.

Piero Hincapie– 8: Made multiple interceptions and tackles. He was also very accurate and decisive with his passing, completing three key passes.

Jeremie Frimpng– 7.5: Kept bursting through the right-hand side for Leverkusen and once again proved why he is one of the best wing-backs in the world.

Exequiel Palacios– 8.5: Brilliantly accurate with passing. Palacios was also a stout presence in the middle of the park, making multiple clearances and tackles during the game.

Granit Xhaka– 8: Much like Palacios, Xhaka was very accurate with his passing. The Swiss international also provided eight key passes for his team.

Alejandro Grimaldo- 7.5: Akin to his performances this season, Grimaldo was once again a crucial player for Leverkusen. His presence on the left-hand side was important.

Jonas Hofmann– 7: Showcased his accurate passing during the game. However, Hofmann missed a big chance as well.

Adam Hlozek– 6.5: Had three shots on target but also missed a clear-cut chance in a game where Leverkusen needed a goal.

Amine Adli– 7: Showed his range of passing and creative nature, making multiple key passes. However, Adli missed two big chances as well.

Mile Svilar– 9.5: Made double-digit saves. However, committed a horrendous error in the second half, allowing Leverkusen to get back into the game.

Gianluca Mancini– 7: A valiant effort from Mancini. While he was superb, Mancini scored an unfortunate own goal, which turned out to be costly.

Evan Ndcika– 6.5: Didn’t have too much of an impact. Ndicka, however, finished the game with a 100% passing accuracy.

Angelino– 7.5: Rock solid performance from Angelino, who surprisingly started the game ahead of Chris Smalling.

Stephan El Shaarawy– 7: Could have had more of an attacking influence. El Shaarawy, however, put the defensive work in for his team.

Bryan Cristante– 7.5: Was a solid presence in the middle of the pitch. Cristante created one big chance and also put in the defensive work.

Leandro Paredes– 7.5: Kept his head calm and scored two penalties in a high-voltage match.

Lorenzo Pellegrini– 7: Put in a solid display both in the build-up play as well as defensively. Pellegrini was forced off the field due to a head clash.

Leandro Spinzzola- 6.5: Was forced off the pitch very early in the game due to an injury.

Sardar Azmoun- 7: Azmoun had one shot on target and also won a penalty for Roma during the game.

Romelu Lukaku– 6.5: Had one shot on target but missed two big chances. Lukaku, though, created a couple of big chances.
