Borussia Dortmund will be without the services of Felix Nmecha and Giovanni Reyna. The former is out with a hip injury until late October. Reyna, on the other hand, is recovering from a groin strain and is expected to return to training in the coming weeks.

VfL Bochum Team News

Bernardo (Knee injury), Ivan Ordets (Shoulder injury), and Koji Miyoshi (Hip injury) are ruled out for the trip to Dortmund. Peter Zeidler will shape his XI in a 4-4-2 formation, looking to secure additional defensive coverage against a potent Dortmund attack.

Nuri Sahin will hand him a role on the left flank and will expect the German to be a menace all game long.

Nico Schlotterbeck is one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe. The 24-year-old is renowned for his abilities on the ball as well as his impeccable defensive timing. Sahin used the German international as an orthodox left-back against Stuttgart. The experiment did not quite pay dividends and Schlotterbeck is expected to revert to his preferred left centre half role.
