Mayra Ramírez to Chelsea FC

Chelsea Smashes Records with Groundbreaking Transfer – Colombian Star Mayra Ramírez Joins for Staggering Fee

Chelsea Football Club has made history by securing the services of Colombian forward Mayra Ramírez from Levante in a groundbreaking transfer deal.

The reported British record transfer fee of £384,000, with an additional £42,000 in potential add-ons, has the potential to set a new world record in women’s football.

Ramírez, a 24-year-old with 30 international caps to her name, has inked a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Women’s Super League champions.

With an impressive track record of 32 goals in 95 games over the past four years in the Spanish top flight, Ramírez arrives at Chelsea following the unfortunate injury to leading striker Sam Kerr, who recently committed to a new deal with the club.

Expressing her excitement, Ramírez stated,

“I am very honoured to be a part of Chelsea. To be part of such a huge club is a dream come true and one I’ve had since I was a little girl.”

Chelsea’s manager, Emma Hayes, praised Ramírez’s qualities, highlighting her physicality, size, presence, power, and goal-scoring prowess. Despite the language barrier, with Ramírez not speaking English, the club is rallying to support her adjustment.
