Chelsea players Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke argue over penalty kick

Former Manchester City star Cole Palmer was the star of Chelsea’s 6-0 thumping win vs Everton last night at Stamford Bridge. The England international scored the fastest hat trick in the Premier League history taking his tally to 20 goals in 27 domestic games.

This was Palmer’s second successive hat trick for the Blues in his debut campaign following his heroics in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Manchester United earlier this month.

Cole Palmer bagged his second hat trick of the season and then added one more to his tally in the second half from the penalty area. Both Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke tried to take the ball from Cole Palmer and captain Conor Gallagher stepped in to allow Palmer to continue his perfect record from the spot kick this season.

Jackosn and Madueke came up to take the penalty kick as the Blues were already winning the game comfortably. Cole Palmer, who’s the designated penalty taker for Chelsea didn’t like the intervention and shoved off Jackson and placed the ball on the penalty spot. Despite the unfortunate incident, Palmer found the back of the net and continued his excellent goalscoring form in his breakout campaign for the Blues.

Mauricio Pochettino furious at both Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke over penalty drama

After the shameful incident in what was one of Chelsea’s best performances of the season, Mauricio Pochettino has threatened to axe both Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke after they tried to hijack penalty-taking duties.

The Argentine manager wants his players to be more collective and claims the duo will be dropped if they don’t learn from their actions.

“It’s a shame,” Pochettino said. “I told the players [in the dressing room] we can’t behave in this way. I told them this is the last time I will accept this type of behaviour. They’re all involved in this situation. Next time they’re all out. This is not a joke.

“It’s impossible after a performance like this to see this type of behaviour. If we want to be a great team, fighting for big things, we need to change and think more in a collective way. I made it clear to them, and now through the media, I say to our fans and to everyone, that Cole Palmer is the penalty taker. And it’s now his choice if he wants to give the ball to another player but not in this way.”
