Cole Palmer Hat-Trick Powers Blues to Half-Time Lead in Chelsea vs Everton
The Englishman opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a stunning, well-placed shot from outside the box. He nutmegged an Everton defender and played a cheeky 1-2 with Nicolas Jackson before unleashing the shot with his left foot.
The home side did not have to wait long for their second as a brilliant move involving Conor Gallagher, Moises Caicedo, and Mykhailo Mudryk saw Jackson have a shot on goal from inside the six-yard box. While Jordon Pickford made the save, the ball bounced kindly for Palmer, who headed in from close range.
The Everton goalkeeper gifted the former Manchester City star his hat-trick at the half-hour mark. Pickford was outside the box and tried to thread the needle and pass to Amadou Onana, but Cole Palmer was quick to intercept and shoot from 30 yards out into the open net with his right foot.
It was the new signing’s second hat-trick of the season after scoring in the previous home game against Manchester United. At the time of writing, Jackson scored for the Blues, making it 4-0 for Chelsea before half-time.
