Copa America 2024 Quarterfinals: Teams qualified, brackets, and match schedule

The highly-anticipated Copa America 2024 quarterfinals fixtures will soon be underway. Eight teams have qualified for the stage by finishing at either first or second position in their respective groups consisting of a total of four teams, to initially begin with.

Some of the big hitters and highly favourites to lift the Copa America 2024 trophy in terms of teams like Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Uruguay also feature in the list of teams qualified for the quarterfinals. It can certainly be laid out that the road to the semifinals in the 48th edition of the prestigious tournament promises some very closely fought matches.

Here we take a look at the teams that qualified for the Copa America 2024 quarterfinals:

Copa America 2024 Quarterfinals – Teams Qualified

The eight teams that qualified for the Copa America 2024 quarterfinals have been divided into two brackets. Each bracket consists of four sides and will produce one finalist. The teams included in the first bracket are –

• Argentina – A1
• Ecuador – B2
• Venezuela – B1
• Canada – A2

The respective teams that are placed in the second bracket for the quarterfinals are as follows –

• Colombia – D1
• Panama – C2
• Uruguay – C1
• Brazil – D2

[Note – A1 refers to the team that finished 1st in Group A; B2 refers to the team that finished second in Group B and so on]

Copa America 2024 quarterfinals schedule

Match 1 (Argentina vs Ecuador)

Argentina finished first in Group A, while Ecuador finished as the runner-up in Group B. The La Albiceleste won all of their three group stage matches. On the other hand, Ecuador managed to win one and draw one, and they lost the other game. Argentina comes into the quarterfinal clash with a 2-0 win over Peru. Ecuador had a 0-0 draw with Mexico in their last group-stage game.

Match 2 (Venezuela vs Canada)

Venezuela finished at the top of Group B after winning all three group-stage matches. Canada managed the second spot in Group A behind Argentina. Just like Ecuador, they managed four points, by winning one, drawing one, and losing a game out of their group stages matches. Canada played a 0-0 draw against Chile, while Venezuela registered a 0-3 win over Jamaica in its conclusive group-stage fixture.

Match 3 (Colombia vs Panama)

Colombia finished at the first spot in Group D, winning two and drawing one out of their three matches, and with seven points to their name. Panama finished as the runner-up of Group C behind Uruguay, managing two wins in their three group-stage fixtures. Colombia played a closely fought 1-1 draw with Brazil, on the other hand, Panama registered a 1-3 victory over Bolivia in their last group D clash.

Match 4 (Uruguay vs Brazil )

Uruguay qualified for Copa America 2024 quarterfinals after winning all three of their Group C fixtures and topping the group with nine points. Brazil qualified after finishing second in Group D behind Colombia, as they managed to win one and draw the remaining two of their matches. Uruguay had a 0-1 win over hosts USA in their conclusive group stage match. Brazil played out a 1-1 draw with Colombia in their final Group D match before the quarterfinals.
