Report: Cristiano Ronaldo reunion Man United shirt tops list of Premier Record sales.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United jersey from the 2021-22 season, ranks as the most-selling Premier League kit in the previous five years, surpassing various prominent names in the list. The Portuguese superstar is amongst the most famous and successful athletes on the globe, boasting a massive fanbase worldwide.

According to ‘lovethesales.com, the initial 12 hours of sales of the highly decorated Red Devil’s number seven shirt from 2021-2022 documented a whopping 32.5 million Euros within just 12 hours of the Club’s official announcement of Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford— the theatre of dreams. Interestingly, the Al-Nassr forward is the most followed name on social media platforms—nearly one billion followers across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Notably, Erling Haaland occupies the second spot in the list with his fellow teammate Jack Grealish taking the 3rd place. Liverpool’s ace Mohamed Salah and Alejandro Garnacho are on fourth and fifth respectively in the EPL best-selling shirts over the last five seasons.

How was Ronaldo’s second stint at Old Trafford in numbers?

Cristiano Ronaldo made a sensational comeback to reunite with Manchester United from Serie A club Juventus on a transfer fee of 15 million Euros plus eight million Euros in add-ons in the 2021 summer transfer window. The five-time Ballon Dor had arrived as a talented teenager in his first spell under the legendary United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and enjoyed a stellar time with the English giants clinching uncountable titles and trophies.

Ronaldo’s debut was nothing short of a spectacle, netting a brace in his second debut in front of packed Old Trafford, as Man United secured a 4-1 victory over Newcastle United. However, the rest of the journey was full of challenges with his feud with Erik Ten Hag also being among the reasons that led to contract termination in December 2023. During the second spell, the Portugal international had no success in terms of trophies and managed to score 24 goals and three assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.
