Dortmund vs Real Madrid: UEFA Champions League Final Highlights as Los Blancos Create History

Borussia Dortmund vs. Real Madrid at Wembley was a stellar UEFA Champions League final. The Bundesliga side started the game stronger. They kept threatening the Real Madrid goal in the opening stages. Dortmund, however, squandered some golden opportunities.

They should have gone ahead at some point. However, they didn’t and the two teams headed down the tunnel at half time with the deadlock yet to be broken. Dortmund were once again the better side in the second half. Real Madrid, however, started to come to life.

The first goal finally came in the 74th minute. The veteran Dani Carvajal scored his sixth goal of the season when he headed home from a Toni Kroos corner.

Real Madrid started to stretch Dortmund more after the opener. Jude Bellingham found a golden opportunity, which deflected wide. Toni Kroos forced a save from a free kick for the second time in the match as well. Eduardo Camavinga’s spectacular long-range effort had to be denied by Gregor Kobel. Vinicius Junior capitalized on a horrendous defensive error from Dortmund to score in the 83rd minute.

While Nicklas Fullkrug found the back of the net once, his effort was ruled out due to offside. There wasn’t a grandstand finish to be had in the final few minutes of the game.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Real Madrid: Los Blancos win 15th Champions League

Real Madrid didn’t have the easiest game against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final at Wembley. However, they absorbed what Dortmund had to offer. Los Merengues eventually hit back at the German side and scored twice in quick succession to end the game.

Los Blancos have now won the Champions League title a record-extending 15 times. They have won in all of their last six final appearances. Players like Luka Modric, Dani Carvajal, and Nacho have now won the title six times with the club. The trophy cabinet continues to bulge for the Madrid giants. They conquer European supremacy yet again.
