Everton FC will host Crystal Palace at the Goodison Park on Tuesday in the matchday 25 of the Premier League. Both Everton and Crystal Place are looking to make a return to winning terms in the Premier League. Everton have performed fairly well this season. However, due to consecutive point reductions this season, they are in this relegation zone.

On Saturday Everton faced an away defeat at the hands of Manchester City in the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s team blew past Everton courtesy of two goals from the goal machine, Erling Haaland. On the other hand, the Crystal Palace side has completely lost momentum after facing three defeats in their last five outings in the Premier League.

They faced Chelsea on Tuesday in their home stadium. However, Chelsea courtesy of goals from Gallagher and Enzo Fernandez defeated Roy Hodgson’s team. Besides, Crystal Palace will also be looking to have a piece of revenge over Everton FC after its stern defeat in their last meetup earlier in the season. Both the teams have had a similar sort of campaign so far in the season with Crystal Palace (15th in the league) registering 6 wins while Everton (18th in the league) with 8 wins in their 24 matches.

Team News

Everton

The squad of Everton is completely fit apart from Dele Alli. The former Spurs man will miss the match on Saturday due to a partial muscle tear and his return date is also not known. M. Keane’s solid performances in the last few matches will be a big advantage for Sean Dyche’s team.

Doucoure has been the leading goal-scorer for Everton racking up six goals this season. With must-win competitions coming up for Everton, Dyche would be looking to play their strongest eleven possible.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace’s form too has been not consistent in the season. In the last five matches, their performances include a huge defeat to Arsenal and two wins against Sheffield United and Brentford. Roy Hodgson will look to play his strongest combination possible for the match.

Two players will be missing the match for Crystal Palace on Tuesday against Everton. The left winger Cheick Doucoure will miss the match due to an Achilles tendon rupture and Jessurun Rak-Sakyi is out with a hamstring injury. Michael Olise has been in superb form this season for Roy Hodgson’s side.

Prediction

Crystal Palace has lost momentum after losing their last two matches in the league. With a good outing on Tuesday Roy Hodgson’s team would want to solidify its position further up in the table.

However, it will be difficult against an equally resistant Everton who will also have a home advantage. Even though they are coming after a defeat, they cannot be taken for granted especially after their last campaign earlier in the season. It is expected to be a cracker of a contest between two historical clubs who are looking to give it their all at this business end of the tournament. Besides, it has been more than two years since Crystal Palace beat Everton in any competition.

Predicted score: Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace
