Fulham vs Bournemouth Match Preview
Fulham take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday. The two sides meet at the Craven Cottage with all eyes set on the three points on offer.
Fulham come into the game after their 2-2 draw against Burnley and will be looking to bounce back. They were 2-0 up against the side 2nd from the bottom, but a brace from Chelsea loanee Datro Fofana helped Vincent Kompany’s side earn a point last week.
Bournemouth are just a point ahead of Marco Silva’s side right now and will be looking to extend it. They have a game in hand and will be looking to close the gap on Chelsea, who sit 11th with 31 points right now.
Fulham have scored at least two goals in each of their last six games. However, they are also the side joint-top for most number of games without a goal in the league this season – 10.
Bournemouth are now winless in their last four matches after going on a seven-match unbeaten streak. They will be keen on getting back to winning ways and making the most of their form against the Cottagers.
On that note, let’s have a look at the team news and predicted lineups for match on Saturday.
Team News & Predicted Lineups
Fulham will head into the match against Bournemouth without as many as six players. Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi are still on international duty with Nigeria making it to the AFCON final.
The Cottagers will also be without Harry Wilson, Rail Jimenez, and Adama Traore in attack as they are sidelined with injuries. Issa Diop will be a miss in the defense as he is yet to recover from his hamstring injury.
Marco Silva could hand Armando Broja his first start for the club after the young striker arrived on loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day. Apart from that, it should be a side very similar to what he sent out against Burnley.
Predicted XI: Leno, Castagne, Adarabioyo, Ream, Robinson, Palhinha, Reed, Cordova-Reid, Pereira, Willian, Broja
Bournemouth are also without a few players, with three out injured. Tyler Adams, Ryan Fredericks and Max Aarons remain out while Hamed Traore, Enes Unal and Ryan Christe are doubtful for the trip to London.
The Cherries will miss Philip Billings in the heart of the pitch as he is serving a 3-match suspension. He was sent off in the Nottingham Forest clash last week and this Fulham clash will be his first match out.
With Billings out, Alex Scott could slot into the starting XI and make his sixth start of the season. Besides the forced change, Andoni Iraola is unlikely to make any big changes to his system.
Predicted XI: Neto, Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kelly, Cook, Christie, Tavernier, Scott, Sinisterra, Solanke
