Will Gabriel Magalhaes injury keep him out of Copa America 2024?

The Arsenal defender spent the last ten days treating his right shoulder issue at Sao Paulo. His chances of participation in Copa America 2024 were in doubt after he struggled to play the entire 90 minutes on the final Premier League matchday.

During his time in Sao Paulo, Gabriel was seen attending a few Corinthians matches wearing his shoulder sling which drew attention but he seems fine now.

Gunners doctor Zafar Iqbal has informed the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) medical team that Gabriel’s injury isn’t serious but will have to undergo a few tests with the national team in Orlando on Thursday. He only had a mild dislocation, and the shoulder sling was anything but a preventive measure.

Gabriel alongside his defensive partner William Saliba formed the best partnership at the heart of defence in the Premier League this season, concerning only 29 goals in 38 games.
