Georgia vs Czechia Player Ratings: Mamardashvili shines in a hard-fought draw for Georgia
Czech Republic were held to a 1-1 draw against Georgia in an exciting Euro 2024 Group F round two clash at Volksparkstadion, Hamburg, in Germany.
Georges Mikautadze opened the scoring just before the end of the first half with a calmly converted penalty before Patrik Schick began Czechia’s fightback just before the hour mark by showcasing his positional awareness. He was there at the right place at the right time as the flick off the near post came right on his chest as he placed the ball in the back of Georgia’s goal.
Georgia had the chance to steal a win in the last seconds of the game, but they wasted an open chance to grab a famous win at the Euro 2024.

Giorgi Kochorashvili – 7.7 – The best midfielder for Georgia. He also completed the most dribbles in the match (3)
Heorhiy Tsitaishvili – 6.5 – Calm and composed on the ball. Could do better with his decision making
FORWARDS
Zuriko Davitashvili – 6 – Didn’t showcase anything special to get involved in the game. Was substituted just after the hour mark.
Georges Mikautadze – 8 – Scored the goal that handed Georgia the lead just at the end of the first half.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – 7 – Couldn’t do much apart from trying to supply decent deliveries to his teammates. Was limited overall in creativity.

Tomas Holes – 8 – Best defender on the pitch for Czechia, came up with four clearances and four recoveries, kept Kvaratskhelia quiet the whole time.
Robin Hranac – 6.5 – Conceded the penalty that gave Georgia the lead, but also created a chance to score for Czechia.
Ladislav Krejci – 7.5 – The 25-year-old Girona star completed the most number of passes (67) in the game compared to any other player. He also managed Davitashvili pretty well.
MIDFIELDERS
David Jurasek – 6.5 – Much was expected from him considering how he performed in the previous games, but he was the fourth best midfielder in Czechia’s four man midfield.
Lukas Provod – 7.5 – Stopped almost every Georgia build-up from the centre as he made the most tackles in the match out of any other player (5).
Tomas Soucek – 8 – Did what he does best, made six crucial ball recoveries and won more than 70% of his duels in the air and on ground.
Vladimir Coufal – 7.5 – Created the most number of chances among any player from both teams.
FORWARDS
Adam Hlozek – 6.5 – The most accurate passer of the ball till the time he played in the game (55 minutes). He had a 100% pass completion rate.
Patrik Schick – 8.5 – Best player on the pitch by a mile. Was taken off in the 68th minute and scored the all important equalising goal for Czechia.
Vaclav Ceny – 7 – Was decent for the 55 minutes that he featured on the pitch. Also created a big chance for his team.
