The striker, who has played at Wembley many times for England and Spurs over the years, told TNT Sports: “The motivation is there in the back of the head that there’s a chance to play a Champions League final at Wembley which is not an occasion that happens very often.

“Of course that’s where I want to try and win the Champions League, there would be no better place for me personally to win that trophy. But there’s a lot of steps along the way, a lot of tough games to be played, and step one is Arsenal.”

Kane has special memories at Wembley having played two seasons at the iconic stadium when it served as home to Tottenham Hotspur. Kane played his club football at the iconic venue in the 2017-18 and the majority of the 2018-19 season. He often visited the stadium as a neutral player during Tottenham’s FA Cup semifinal and League Cup finals.

However, his finest hours at the stadium came in England colours when they reached the final of the Euro 2020. While Kane’s team lost the final in a penalty shootout, he has always enjoyed playing at the venue.

With the Champions League final taking place at Wembley Stadium, there will be an added initiative for Kane to get the job done and win his first career silverware.

Bayern will enter the semifinal second leg against Arsenal with no advantage and will need a win to progress. With no away goals rule in the competition anymore, the 2-2 draw in the first leg is now academic and the winner on the night will join Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund in the semis. The other quarterfinal on the night will feature Manchester City hosting Real Madrid with winner-take-all stakes on the table at the Etihad Stadium.
