Harry Kane has been reassured by Harry Redknapp that trophies will eventually come his way while also being nudged towards a potential lucrative move to MLS side Inter Miami.
Kane would have hoped that his 2023 transfer to Bayern Munich would finally end his silverware drought. However, the German giants have just completed a rare trophyless season.
As of now Kane remains under a long-term contract at the Allianz Arena and is the captain of a strong England squad capable of competing for the continental title (Euro 2024) in Germany.
What Redknapp Said?
Speaking in association with Sorare (a free-to-play fantasy game) Redknapp told GOAL about Kane’s pursuit of silverware:
“It would be nice for him to win a trophy. I’m sure he will eventually – whether with Bayern Munich or England. No-one has won a trophy with England since 1966, so that’s not an easy thing to do. Club-wise, he’s an amazing player. He’s the best centre-forward in the world and has a big opportunity this summer to win a trophy with England. We have the best squad in the tournament and I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t go all the way and win it.”
When asked if the lack of major honours would bother Kane, Redknapp responded:
“No, it won’t. Look at how many goals he has scored at Munich this year – a crazy amount. He has done his job. There are players that win trophies who are average but are in a good team. He’s a fantastic player and will go down in history at Tottenham as the leading goalscorer. He’s special and I don’t think it will bother him. I do think he’ll win trophies before he retires.”

Kane Won’t return to Spurs again Says Redknapp
Kane left Tottenham as they couldn’t fulfil his ambition. Redknapp doubts he will return to Spurs:
“I doubt it. It’s always difficult going back. Bayern Munich had a bad year, but it’s a massive club. Vincent Kompany coming in, I’m sure he can’t wait to work with Harry Kane. He can build a team around him. I’d be surprised if Kane returned to Tottenham.”
However, Redknapp added on a possible Premier League return:
“Eventually, yes. It depends on how long he stays at Munich. I don’t think he’d want to come back at the end of his career if he’s starting to decline. While he’s doing well, I can see him staying in Germany for now. He went there to win things and won’t be happy until he achieves that.”

Kane at MLS – A Possibility?
While another Premier League stint may not be appealing, Kane might consider following Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to MLS or the Saudi Pro League. Redknapp suggested:
“He could do. Money isn’t key for him now. But a big payday at the end of his career in America, playing for [David] Beckham’s team, sounds like a good idea.”

What’s Next for Harry Kane?
Kane’s contract at Bayern runs until 2027 with any further transfer talk being dismissed for now. Having already scored a record-breaking 63 goals for the Three Lions the Ex-Tottenham striker is currently focused on leading England into the European Championship this summer.
